They are 2 and 4 and always want to touch all the pretty colours they see on the screen (and convinced that all the avatars are pictures of them!). I dont want to be nasty/boring and say dont do that, so I just wondered if any of you have any fun things to tell them or interesting ideas to stop them doing it. Thanks!

Buy a screen protector or a glare shield that can be easily wiped off. Children often learn by touch.... at that age that haven't fully grasped the concept of things being real/fake...so pics may "in their mind" be them.
Teach them the "pinky-hover"--that always works. They may point to things using only their pinky and they can only hover above the pic... go over the "rules" before they approach the computer in a fun way.

Ask them to stop please or they are not allowed near the computer. Tell them it costs lots of money if they break any part of it. I'm an aunt myself, at that age they DO understand the meaning of "Lots of money." If you don't want them to touch, just tell them "no". Simple but effective. Good luck

Tell them that if they touch the computer screen, a computer virus will get into their bodies, and they won't be able to eat candy for a month.

Get a picture to use as desktop wallpaper that will frighten them, something really nasty.

Haha, tell them that rotten witches/goblins put a spell on it. And put your hand forward and go, 'Ouch, it stung me', then look all sad etc. Haha.
