I have a 1995 Jeep Wrangler-S (4 cyl, Soft Top, Red), and I am looking to sell it. I was going to try online first, and was wondering which are the best places to place an ad.

Go to www.kbb.com or www.nada.com.These sites will give you a good idea on your Jeeps value.
Sell it yourself. You will make more dough. Place it in your local paper and put a for sale sign on it while you drive it around.
Don't forget to detail it. If the carpet is trashed I would remove it. Shinny paint is better than a carpet stain in a JEEP. I'd even go the extra mile, spend the 60 bucks and have the motor steamed.

First do your market research and get the reality check of the real value of the Jeep. What Nada and KBB says will be only a guidline of what you base your target on. Then use the search on Auto Trader to gauge the average selling price based on simular equipment and conditions of yours. Now your ready to set your target and walk away price. If it has a clear title, I would consider E-Bay Motors, I recently sold my Mustang after posting it on E-Bay rather on Auto Trader and Craigs list. E-Bay has more hits a day than any portal available. While you only will have a 7 day window to sell and your $fees will be lost if not sold, your hit rate will be worth it.Craigs list will deliver you spamers and resellers.

I hang at a Jeep forum, and you wouldn't believe what some of those guys would give you for your jeep. Some view your jeep as the "ultimate" toy. They would buy your jeep simply for the Transmission, differential, and some other odd parts.
You see a trend here?.. Parts.
Check with these guys before you decide to sell.
