GOOD FOR YOU!
Congrats on starting to run!
Before you run outside, go to a running store and get a GOOD pair of shoes, which will fit your running style.
Start slow. Walk when you need to. Push yourself a little farther (not faster) each time you run.
When I started running last year, I did 1.5 miles in my neighborhood. I started by running a block and walking a block. The next time, I ran 2 blocks and walked a block. Etc., until I ran the whole 1.5 miles.
When you increase your distance, make sure you slow down or else you will lose your breath.
Some days are better than others. You're still making progress even if you feel like you have to walk the majority of your run. Listen to your body and pick up the next time.
Find a running club. They offer great support! I run with Nike Running, at Niketown. Your running store will have clubs available. When you go to the club, you'll find someone who is your pace and you can run together.
Change it up! Run on the street, in the park and in hilly areas. Anyplace which is well lit, whether by sun, street lights or whatever, is a good place to run.
If you have to use your treadmill for running, do a slight incline.
Best of luck to you!

Good comfortable shoes. That's about it.
Look at your wet foot prints
If you leave a whole foot print you have flat feet and you need a motion control shoe.
If your foot print leaves an unwet curve in the inside middle you have average feet and need a stability shoe.
If your wet foot print breaks between the ball and the heel you have a high arch and need a cushioned shoe.
Go for comfort and longevity not just the brand name. Put them on and run around the store until you find you're perfect pair. You may get some wired looks but you'll be much more satisfied in the long run.
Special clothing such as moisture-wicking socks and shirts along with an MP3 player will help make your run more enjoyable but are not a necessity.

The most important thing you ever need for sunning is a very good pair of shoes. Do not skimp on shoes, your knee will kill you. I recommend going to a specialty shoe store, in CA Fleet Feet are very good, and talk to one of the specialist. they can look at you foot, pronation, stride, and step and determine which is the right shoe for you.
Women will also need a very decent sports bra. Again another thing that a specialist at a running store can help with.
As far as places to run, head out your door and as far away from a treadmill as possible. Look into park and bike paths as well as trails in your area. If you run on roads, make sure to run going against traffic and to the shoulder of the road.
Most important is to remember to breath through the cramps, they will go away, and set goals. Also have fun!

Listen to greekman. You're the only accountable for making the puppy excited approximately going "bye byes". If you're taking her at any place, don't forget an extended stroll or another variety of recreation to empty a few power earlier than you cross. Twenty to thirty mins of well recreation will calm the puppy a bit of after which the leisure is as much as you. Make certain the puppy is at ease earlier than you cross. Don't begin announcing your bye byes and anticipate the puppy to go to sleep. You are growing the joy along with your voice and movements. The puppy is simply responding to you and the throwing up is an illustration of simply how excited she will get. Put her on a lead and stroll her to the automobile whilst she's calm. If she's no longer calm...wait. It will take a few train however she is going to finally be trained that she will handiest transfer ahead after she relaxes. Continue the method till she's within the automobile. If she starts to whine, provide her a command to give up and repeat as critical. If she does not reply, situation her in a take a seat after a command and a down at the seat if critical. Be calm your self whilst doing any of those matters. If you difference from a relaxed individual, your puppy will react for that reason.

Ok Here's the thing. All you need is a great pair of running shoes. But here's the catch...the price may be expensive but that may be more for your benefit. If you go to a basic store that sells shoes, don't count on them to tell you which kind is the best. Chances are, they are just going to tell you to go with the most expensive shoes. Running isn't all about your feet however, your knees pay a big part on shoe decisions.
If you have pronation of the knees that can dramatically effect your back, quads, and a lot of other muscles in the body. Pronation is when your knees go outward, inward, or not at all.
--knees go inward or outward---you may want to invest in a pair of shoes that have gray shading in the arch of the shoe that is shown on the outside. That means that it will give you more support on where you need it most.
--slightly heavy-- you want to invest in a pair of shoes that are mostly, if not all, cushion. The impact on your knees could damage your back, so it is important. Asics is the best cushioning shoe.
--flat footed-- you may want to go with a shoe that raises your heel up. You can tell this by having shading on the heel area. Also by having inserts put in, that always makes the running impact so much better, especially on concrete.
--high arch-- you want to also go with cushion. Each shoe should have a specific design for the arch. Also put in inserts.
--bad ankles-- if you go to your orthropedic doctor, tell him that you have bad ankles and he will order you some lateral heel wedges. You should just order these on your own and save he sitting fee. What this will do is elevate your footin a way that it will be harder to roll your ankle. It took me 8 ankle sprains to realize that i should use these.
^*>good luck<*^

You'll need:
-good shoes that fit you're feet, and running style (help to prevent
injury)
-lots of gatorade (rehydrates & puts back what you sweat out)
-determination (self explanatory)
-a partner to run with (safety and entertainment)
-good post-run snacks (gummy bears, pretzels, etc.)
You won't need:
-an mp3/cd player (it's dangerous to run with headphones, and
you have a friend there to talk to)
-Powerbars (most disgusting things I have ever tasted)
-Energy drinks (will only make you sick)
Make sure you warm-up/stretch well, cool down when you are done, don't push yourself too hard, and have fun.

you don't really need "gear" just some sneakers and some comfortable clothes but if you want gear I'd suggest an MP3 player to listen to music and to keep you motivated, sneakers, comfortable clothes. and as far as a place a park is good or if you backyard is big enough then run there!

A great pair of runners.
Also, find a park with lots of grass. Running on grass is better for your knees.
