There is a prophetic statement told by prophet Muhammed taht tells about one of his companions asked him if he could marry a woman who was beautiful and decent but she was not able to have children. Prophet Muhammed prohibited that man from marrying that woman and told him that Muslim men should ONLY marry fertile decent women.

I was surprised when I read that statement because of the following:

1- I thought that selecting a woman to marry has nothing to do with the religion.

2- If all men selected only women who can have children, is not that discrimination against women who can not have children? Are not they have rights to get married?

3- How about men who can not have children? why prophet Muhammed did not prohibit women from marrying them? (note that women usually are more eager to ahev children and therefore they would be more hurt if they marry men who can not have chidlren)

To increase his flock.

Consider this. A man can marry any woman from any faith, and she doesn't have to convert to Islam, but all the children will be Muslims. But, a woman is not permitted to marry a non Muslim man, and if she wanted to marry one! he must convert first, because the kids religion will be the same as the father religion. Therefore, he must convert to insure all the kids will be Muslims.

Third question. simply human ego. If a woman can't have kids! it is her fault, if he can't have kids! guess what! it is also her fault. Surprise! by the way this is not a Muslim only thing.

What is the whole purpose to multiply and subdue the world.

You should know this one thing, yes selecting a woman to marry has nothing to do with religion; but religion has got something to do with marriage.

In this there are people who are to have children and some not. It is not discrimination but just a realisation and a point og reasoning.

You are getting this too far my friend, Prophet Muhammed was just a messenger of God, things which he didn't have say or things which are are not wrote in the Holy Book are still hidden to mankind.

First of all, Muhammed pbuh never said that ...because even if a man marries a non fertile woman, she might be able to have children in the future because Allah swt does what He likes (Allahu Alrazzaq Alkareem) God is the Sustainer the Most Kind
Secondly, Prophet Muhammed pbuh said (tazawwajo dhata khulukin wa deen) marry those who have good morals and strong faith...he (pbuh) never mentioned marrying only "fertile women"..thats a bunch of lies and people post these lies to deceive people into believeing that islam is a bad religion....the ignorant one is who believes these lies.

He prohibited that man from marrying that woman and told him that men should marry fertile decent women.

In another Hadith, Muhammad once asked a person on why that person married a quite old woman instead of a young playful maiden, the person responded that it's because he already got lots of little sisters to worry about and he wanted an experienced woman to handle his sisters. Muhammad didn't prohibited him on doing that.

"1- I thought that selecting a woman to marry has nothing to do with the religion."

Selecting a woman to marry has a LOT to do with the religion.

Because as tolerant as we should be of other religions than our own, the Koran has an abundant number of rules that make modern society cringe. I know the Bible also has many rules, but at least most of the people who know the Bible are willing to balance those writings with modern society.

He did not say ONLY marry fertile women. Most people get married because they want to have a family. He said it is Better for you to marry fertile women. In order to have a family. What is so wrong with that ? It is not forbidden to marry infertile women, divorced women, widowed women or women who have children from a previous marraige. And in Christianity it is written in Mathew that to marry a divorced women is the same as adultery. So....

Do you ever give up your nonsense? You said it's a prophetic statement, but you never posted your evidence. Could it be you have none?
If fertility was such a huge issue, why is it that the Prophet Muhammad (saws) had children with *only* one wife?

Edit: Seems that you do not read your own sources, lol!
