I'm a Hairdresser in Warwickshire. If you want a permanent straightening perm we use Yuko from Japan and is fantastic and I've had lovely results. We also use a semi permanent relaxing system called X-Tenso made by L'oreal which is also good but only lasts around 3 months but helps you manage your hair.

ive tried the yuko straigtening system...and it seriously messed up my hair. had long curly hair to my waist and wanted to try something new. they said it would be good for my hair, but it started snapping and breaking off shortly after the treatment. and i had to cut it shorter bit by bit.

its grown out now, and it was the worst thing ive ever done! and a otal waste of time. dont do it. rather invest in some ceramic straighteners and use those if you want to have your hair straight on occasion. just use a protection spray.

also, once its chemically straightened, you cant go curly again, it has to grow out.
