What you are doing is called binge drinking. (You didn't say just how much you actually drink on the weekend) Binge drinking is considered to be a form of alcoholism.

I wouldn't consider it a problem if it is only on the weekends. An alcoholic needs the alcohol to function each day. They will drink alone as well as with friends. They also drink to excess not just a few to have fun. Usually they drink until they pass out and then wake up and do the same thing the next day. If you can't make it through your day everyday without a drink then I would worry but just with friends on the weekends I think you are ok.

No.

Missing work, wrecking your car three times in a month, losing in a game of "find your foot" before breakfast, THESE are signs of an alcoholic lifestyle.

Moderate consumption of alcoholic beverages, particularly with food is a pleasant and largely harmless enjoyment of life.

It's when you "have" to have a drink that you need to worry. Personally. I only drink when I'm happy, celebrating, or having a good time. Prevents fights, maudlin weepy outbursts, and a downward spiral into alcoholic depression.

Just don't want to go there.

Best wishes!

No, that's social drinking.

Alcoholics get drunk on a regular basis, and use alcohol as a crutch to avoid real-world problems. Social drinkers hang out, drink with friends, and don't get drunk on a regular basis.

If you're drunk more than once a week, you're probably an alcoholic.

Technically an alcoholic is someone who drinks to get drunk. So if you go out with that goal in mind (like many of us do, including me) then yes you are. Call yourself a weekend alcoholic if you want to make yourself feel a bit better.
We are what we are. Party on my friend!

it depends on what you do when you drink . if you get drunk and blackout, and it's affecting your life you are an alchoholic. but if you only have a few, and get home safe, no one gets hurt, you don't get fired you are a safe alchoholic, and there is very little of an issue. you are an alchoholic when it starts to affect you and your life. you are in the first stages of alchoholism.if you do this EVERY weekend. and yes alchoholics do drink corona, and whatever it takes to get drunk.
