Hello,

Are the original speakers in a 1996 Honda Accord decent speakers? I'm buying a CD player for mine and would like to avoid buying speakers too if I can get by with the ones I have. (I'm not in to thumpin' rap or anything...)

Actually, the speakers produced for the 1996 accords are pretty good. I wouldn't buy new ones.

Your factory speakers are 10 years old. You'll be able to hear them fine with the new head unit, but even buying dirt cheap speakers are going to be better than 10 year old OEM speakers.

But no, you don't have to replace them. Just budget to do that in the future. Replace the front ones first and then later replace the back.

Hope this helps.

No such thing as a decent stock speaker.. no matter what the make/model of the vehicle is. Consider Infinitys if you have the green.

Those speakers being 11 years old are probably worn out.

im gonna have to diagree with most of your answers..most factory speakers that come with the car are made out of paper and they blow very easily if you turn them up all the way. some cars do come with premium sound systems already installed with either infinity or bose speakers. unless you have those types of speakers you might wanna get new ones but then again youre not going for how loud they can get..
