Nexium can HELP heal, but if you don't take proactive steps yourself, like changing your diet, changing your eating habits, sleep in a more upright position and so on, just taking the pill and doing as you please isn't going to work.

I can personally vouch for the positive benefits of Nexium and I have only used it for about 2 months.

I would guess that you may have been wasting time and money by sticking with the drug for 3 years.
