if the vet said she isn't pregnant then it may be that she is having a pseudo pregnancy

Yes, I agree, she's probably having a psuedo, or phantom pregnancy. You did mean she's 8 wks. old? If she's older, and has been acting like this for 8wks., I'd take her to the vet.
FYI: A throw back from evolution.
All dogs come from the grey wolf, and the Alpha female is the only female in the pack that gets pregnant. The other females simulate pregnancy; even produce milk. The reason they do, is because they can nurse the pups while the Alpha(Mom) female is out getting food for the rest of the pack.
Don't know what I'd do without the Animal Planet!

a dogs pregnancy is 9 weeks so you will now soon. Without seeing her its difficult to say but not all vets are correct with this diagnosis. If there is milk now I'm sure pups will follow particularly if quite free flowing. In my opinion put a whelping box down and keep an eye on her she will let you know if shes having pups good luck

she could be having a Phantom pregnancy. they do produce milk then and they start nesting etc but are not pregnant. Its likely to be that so dont worry she will be fine.
However you could always ask for an ultrasound scan to check if you are worried, my mum had her min-pin scanned when she was pregnant to check how many pups there were because the poor thing was like a barrel!

It is unlikely, though not impossible, that she would still be in a false pregnancy 8 weeks after being in season.
Some dogs, especially young fit ones, don't really show. I think you'd better prepare, to be on the safe side. Buy a good book about whelping and gather supplies, today!!! They usually whelp pretty close to 63 days.

She's having a phantom pregnancy. Shows all the signs but isn't actually pregnant. It's common for female dogs ( can't seem to say the right name for them as y/h 'star' it out!) They genuinely believe they're pregnant so don't be surprised if she starts trying to prepare a nest to have her pups in. It's quite distressing for them and they do need a bit of TLC during that time.

sounds like she will be having a pretend being pregnant. i have heard of it in canine, horses, cats, and various of alternative species. i'd have it shown by your vet, even with the reality that, so that you're not to any extent further taken by wonder in case she does have some little ones.

Most likely she is having a false pregnancy. As soon as it is done you need to get her spayed. She will be much healthier and happier for it. False pregnancies raise havoc with hormone levels and can lead to pyometria a very serious and often fatal uterine infection. Also the longer your dog is left intact the higher the risk becomes of developing mammary cancer and reproductive cancers.
