I have my period for 7 days and I wish I could shorten it, but I don't think I can. I don't think I
can bear it because I don't want to wait for 7
days for it to be over. I don't have the patience
and you can understand why, I hope. What
should I do?!? I need help now! I am about to
lose it and go seriously crazy!

Regular birth contol pills can sometimes shorten your period. There is a new kind of pill (the name escapes me at the moment), that is actually designed to make you have I think about ONLY 4 periods a year! I know this wasn;t exactly what you were asking, but I would think that missing that many periods would be a good thing. YOu can ask your doctor the name, and go to www.noperiod.com to find out more about the theories of how fewer periods is actually a healthy thing, and more info on the subject.

Well that sucks a lot...periods can vary so maybe you'll have a period of time where they're shorter than 7 days. That has happened to me before. The only other thing that can possibly shorten it is birth control. I don't like the idea of chemicals shortening what is natural though. But if you're about to CRAZY then give it a try! I hear it clears up your skin too.

Have you spoken to your Dr? The only thing I can think of is that when you are on birth control pills and skip the inactive and go straight to the next pack it causes you to skip your period. Maybe if you do don't actually skip all of the inactive but just the last 2 or 3 maybe that would shorten it, I'm not sure. Again ask your Dr. Good Luck!

My period used to last for 7 days sometimes 8, and was always very heavy. I started to use birth control and it made my periods more regular and less heavy and now they only last for 3-4 days. I am on ortho tri cyclen. Go ask your doctor about it!

You might try a lot of exercise. You know that some female athletes skip their periods and have much shorter periods. But I think you really have to do a lot of exercise for that to happen. Also I think you have to have almost no fat on your body.

there's supposed to be this weird thing you can do with birth control to either shorten it or not have one for a certain time, but i'm not sure how it works....

If your on the pill, take one. It makes your body confused...
OR exercising like jogging around your block. Your probably thinking "yeah right!", but it really does help.
