It's like how Hawaii used to have a rat problem, so they imported mongooses to kill the rats. And they did; they also killed pets, chickens, pigs, small children, and now there are at least as many mongooses as there ever were rats. Now Hawaii has a mongoose problem. America used to have a crime problem, so we hired cops to fight crime. Now we have a cop problem.

I judge a person by one question: are you making the lives of those around you better, or worse? Show me one cop that's ever made anybody's life better.

There is an old police saying....

"...If they let us all (every cop) have one day off of the entire year, in just that one day all chaos would let loose. Then those who don't like us will be begging for us to come back."

I'm sure that you had plenty of run-ins with the police. Stop committing crimes, no matter how small, and your problem will be fixed!!!

BTW, I don't think I could show you just one! I know around 10 personally that have saved people's lives and the rest have just stopped criminals from stealing things from people like you!!! But of course, this hasn't changed your life...

Thanks for being so amusing. People like you always make me smile and actually laugh. I suspect you've run afoul of the law. In fact if you say you haven't I'm afraid I'd consider you a liar because most people who have had no contact with police don't hold opinions like this. If they do it never seems to stop them from calling the police when they feel they've been wronged or victimized.
But you're all sport to us. Oh. America "used to have" a crime problem. It appears we have an education problem as well if you've convinced yourself of the "used to' aspect of crime.
But then again....I have to consider the source.

Daaaam man, haven't heard a more valid point!

Just remember man, no one listens.. So you're wasting your time here on these answers, people here will only tell you that cops are for the better..

On your line of thought, I just wander, how come aren't chief police officers murdered by the mafia if everyone knows them, how they look, and usually don't have bodyguards 24/7?

Anyways, no one will solve the police problem because it's not considered a problem. You're considered the problem.. Know why? Cause you think too much!

I am with you 100%. One time, my friend's parents were sitting in their house and this strange guy just walks through the front door, obviously drunk out of his mind. He starts yelling and telling them to get out of his house, so they called the police. He finally stumbled out of the house and into the woods, and it took the stupid cops over twenty minutes to get there! He could have killed them easily by then. The cop's excuse for taking so long was that he had to pull someone over. God forbid a victimless crime go unpunished! God I hate cops. It is my experience that they were power-deprived individuals that wanted a job where they could push people around. I really think we'd do much better without them.

Granted not all cops are perfect and without corruption, but on the higher scale, they are there doing a thankless job and having to deal with people, I bet you could'nt. And by the way, if someone is about to break into you house, steal your stuff, kick your "a s s" , who you gonna call. Thats what I thought.

You wanted to know about 1 that made a life better ?

I responded to a call of a suicidal subject who poured 2 gal of gasoline over his head and was going to light himself on fire. I found the subject hiding in the garage, with a match in one hand and the box to strike it on in the other. Myself and another rushed the subject and stopped him..............received a life saving award for it.

Turns out he was very upset over the recent loss of his father. I'm quite sure I made his mother's life better that night since I prevented her from losing a son she loves. Oh yeah, and his life too, since he's not dead, or alive with burn scars.

People like you kill me.........You act like you can handle everything yourself...... So I guess if you had children in school, and a student went on a shooting rampage with your kids inside, you would gather up all the other parents who think like you and enter the school to take care of the problem, right ? Or if someone breaks into your mother's house and kills her, you will conduct the investigation and bring the killer to justice, right ?

Wake up !!!!

The only real cop problem is there are not enough, and those we have are not paid enough and have thier hands tied by liberal court rulings on evidence

Find "treehugger" and marry her. Have children. Next generation's cops will need easy targets.
