No... although many restaurants do classify it as such on their menus. Hotdogs belong with the list of hamburgers, which also do not count as sandwiches in my book.

Yes. I eat them all the time. Slice 2 hotdogs down the middle and lay flat btwn 2 peices of bread with mayo, ketucup and cheese.

Yes. A sandwich is some kind of food between two pieces of bread. A hot dog qualifies.

A hotdog is an American tradition. It's served on a roll, not bread slices. So I've never considered it a sandwich.

A sandwich is more like Ham & Cheese on Rye; Turkey & Swiss on Whole Wheat; Bologna & Salami on Rye; etc....

Sandwich is defined as "dish made by placing food between two slices of bread".

According to this definition hotdog is not a sandwich - it is not a dish, it is junk(food).

Yes,I think it's a sandwich.Why not???At the end,it's a junk food that u can eat whenever & wherever u like.As u like it,it's just a kind of food....

No more than a burger is... technically, they're both served between bread, but I think it stops there.
