sorry to hear about your spotty problem, i had the same when i was younger. my best mate ate macdonalds all the time and had great skin, i ate loads of fresh veg and fruit and looked like a pizza face!
i found the best thing was Clearasil, it's not too harsh which you have to watch out for with young skin, and it works.

if you are really bad you can go to the docs for a short course of anti biotics but don't do this too often as they will not work as well.

hope this helps you and remember you are not alone!!

I symapathise as I'm 25 and I still suffer with spotty skin on my chin, around my nose and on my forehead. I've found that the following really help:

1. Using the right skin products-the body shop seaweed range is great for me (it's not too expensive and lasts for a long time) and washing my face with a sponge, instead of my hands (greasy). I also stick to foam rather than cream based cleansers and exfoliate my skin (to remove dead skin cells) once/twice a week.

2. Using a witch hazel stick to dry out the spots

3. Using ketsugo gel (about £10 in places like superdrug) to balance the hormone levels in ym skin.

4. Taking an evening primrose oil and or Zinc supplement.

5. Keeping my hair off my face.

Hope all of this helps!

By the way, I share your frustration that remember that the state of the skin is NOT the number of sweets you stuff yourself with. Although, a poor diet will show on your skin and keep reminding yourself that if your skin may be spottier than your friends' skin but in a few years time, you'll have the last laugh because you'll have fewer wrinkles, especially if you look after your skin by protecting it in the sun and not smoking! I can confirm this from my own experience!

Hi eating certain food doesnt nesscary give you spots. Hormones do, they are just lucky they dont break out in apots like you do. The best thing to do is detox your body. Water in fact does clear spots but you can pee for england until you get used to it also a good vitamin suppliment for teenagers is good i used to get ASDAs own ones vitamins and minerals for teenagers. No amount of washing will help cear spots but may help prevent you breaking out as often. I recommed Fresh Pharmacy from Lush. Check out a few of there products like the cleansers and toners as Lush doesnt use chemicals in there products then they will be ok for young skin. If the appear to be a little expensive for you. Why not as for them as an Christmas Present. If you really want to take care of you skin. Check out there website and have a look. I hope you find a product that is suitable for you.

Also be careful with a few of the products recommended by a few of the answers you have already got. As i have tried them and if you have sensitive skin they are a definate no no as they will make your skin worse. If you are goingt to use anything use somethig fragrance free, with no colourings.

I have a friend that used the facial cleanser that said it would help and didn't so she started to use Ivory soap and a clean washcloth each time and a non-oily or fragrant face moisturizer and toner and it cleared her skin right up. It is still necessary to eat right and exercise and clease your skin 2-3 times a day. I cleanse it once in the morning and once and night. I haven't had a blemish in a while :)

Try dissolving a few uncoated aspirin in the palm of your hand with a couple drops of water. Rub it on your face like a mask (it will be gritty) let it sit for 15 minutes then rinse and moisturize with an oil free moisturizer. Do this once or twice a week.

Switching to mineral make-up also really seemed to help me.
