I need to do a 1 page interview with someone in the criminal justice field for my Intro to Criminal Justice class. I am looking for ideas for questions to ask. Most likely I will Interview the local Resident State Trooper.

Forget it. Most troopers are in small towns or oversee a small constabulary force in town. They're experience in criminal investigations may be good but are usually not as extensive as a municipal cops experiences. Of course this is not a backhanded commet about the state police. But city cops usually have more oppurtunites to investigate more criminal violations of a different nature then the state policeman who is patrolling three towns on the midnight shift while working out of a troop.

There must be things you've wondered about that a cop does or doesn't do, why he chose this kind of work, what he likes and dislikes about the job, his most interesting arrest, etc. Just ask him those things. Might ask how he feels about constitutional rights being kicked to the curb by George W. Bush.
