I think it exists, not as a mythological being but as a part of your mind. When you think about myths, say Greek myths for instance, way way way back in the day the ancient greeks looked at Zeus and Aphrodite and all these other Gods as they existed in Mt. Olympia. What we consider myths they considered gospel. Then the hot new religion Christianity came in and now loads of people are praising Jesus. Now the Devil being a totally unrighteous being running up cell phone bills around the globe and killing puppies and kittens is just what we use to put a face on religion. Every story needs a bad guy. In the end it's all in our head and what can be gospel now can be myths to the Jetsons. The Devil is simply thoughts not all the thought through.

Since all things denote their is a God, and God's record indicates their is a Devil, Satan, etc., then YES their is a devil. For there is both good and evil. I know because I've had a "devil of a time" thinking up a good logical answer for this. Therefore there must also be a hell. If not, then I'll go there!

Lucifer was an angel that did not like the ways things were running in Heaven so there was a huge war. Michael the Archangel led the heavenly troops to victory.
Lucifer no longer good in God's sight got a whole nother place to live with his rebellious lot. Lucifier hates men because they are now favored in God's sight and he does everything he can to make sure we don't please God either. His first plot was to thwart Adam and Eve, now he just sits back and let's our free will get us into all sort of trouble. Anyone who doesn't think that heroin, cocaine and porn are not tools of the devil don't get it.
I would suggest reading The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis for more details.

I think that he does exist and one of his best deceits is making people believe that he does not exist. Don't get me wrong people could and would make the world almost as bad as it is now with our selfishness and fear and resentment and impatience but do people really become hate filled racist by them selves? I don't think so. I think he uses our fears and other negative emotions to create chaos.

No, he is very real. Why do you think there is so much evil in this world. The devil knows he is headed to hell.... and he is trying his best to take as many people with him as he can.

I'm glad I am not one of them.
