No, our Heavenly Father loves us, He knows we need prophets to lead and direct us...
There have been only 15 modern day prophets:

Joseph Smith 1830-1844
Brigham Young 1847-1877
John Taylor 1880-1887
Wilford Woodruff 1887-1898
Lorenzo Snow 1898-1901
Joseph F. Smith 1901-1918
Heber J. Grant 1918-1945
George Albert Smith 1945-1951
David O. McKay 1951-1970
Joseph Fielding Smith 1970-1972
Harold B. Lee 1972-1973
Spencer W. Kimball 1973-1985
Ezra Taft Benson 1985-1994
Howard W. Hunter 1994-1995
Gordon B. Hinckley 1995-present

These are the only modern day prophets who have had and have the authority and priesthood to lead Christ's church.

Only one faith, made up of 6.5 million faithful ministers are proclaiming the good news of God's Kingdom to all the inhabited earth and we will continue to do so until the Great Tribulation begins. Without the help of God's holy spirit and his angels, this preaching work could never be accomplished. It is being done in fulfillment of the prophecy found at Matthew 24:14. Despite governmental bans, severe persecution, and hatred for the message we bring, we continue without letup.
We hope to reach all meek, honest-hearted ones with the wonderful good news regarding God's heavenly government and all the blessings it will mean for them.

They are here. They are not hard to find, but you need to sort through them very carefully. Here's how to find them:

1. Make a list of what's troubling you the most about living in the world today.....

2. Make a commitment to yourself that you will spend 30 minutes each and every day doing Internet searches in order to educate yourself about these items on your list. Start reading about Who's doing What in the areas you have identified as troublesome.....

3. You will find good people that will literally jump out at you! Start reading about them and their work.....
Unfortunately, you will also find some people that completely scare the bejeebers out of you!!!

As you begin to broaden your horizons, it would be a good idea to add prayer and contemplation to your daily routine....It really helps to clearly identify the Good in Life....

I Never watch TV at all anymore. I am always doing this. There's not much on TV, anyway!!

God Bless You!!!

The thing is he never sent prophets to begin with. They were all self appointed. Those who believed were even more crazy than those who heard there stomach rumbling and concluded that God has spoken to them, so now they are prophets! What a joke.

the prophecies for the beginning and end have already been foretold. jesus gave us the new covenant, and god granted us the holy spirit. until jesus returns there is no need for a prophet.
