The "real christian message" is very simple:
"Give yourself up to an imaginary being for which there is no evidence of any kind. Trust -- for no good reason -- mythological writings from thousands of years ago to have every single answer to modern problems. Stop using your brain to reason, stop looking for true knowledge, instead believe our magical sky-god will give you a magical life in paradise after you die, despite the fact that there is no evidence of any kind showing it's true. Oh, and pay us 10% of your money for showing you the way to get to heaven."
:)

God doesn't just make up rules and do anything He pleases. He's holy and good, and the rules for what is and is not good could never have been otherwise. God told the early humans that their only happiness lies in Him, and any other choice would lead them to death and misery. That's not something God could have made otherwise if He felt like it- it's just a simple description of the nature of reality. . . sort of like telling someone that if they jump off a tall building they'll die. But, they chose to go their own way and do their own thing anyway, and, just as He told them, they suffered the consequences for that. God wouldn't be righteous or holy if he simply overlooked that sin and let them do anything they pleased. The penalty for sin is death, and if God is to be just, then that debt must be paid, somehow. But God, being the loving creator that He is, wasn't willing to let that be the end of it. He was willing to pay that price Himself, so that we could be saved from hell. Because if we don't pay the price, then somebody surely must do it in our place. Jesus could do that for us because He never sinned, and therefore he didn't owe a sin debt at all. It's sort of like if you commit a crime and get thrown in jail. The other prisoners are not going to be able to help you post bail. Only somebody who hasn't commited a crime and is therefore not in jail himself will be able to come bail you out. So our sin-debt was paid by Jesus' death, and because of that, we can be right with God again. The righteousness of God is satisfied, and His love for us is proved at the same time.

Of course it is.
If you aren't "saved" and accept heysues (Jesus) as your personal savior, then you are damned to hell for all eternity.
Of course, the idiot sheep can't seem to get it through their pointy skulls that whether you believe or not, you still have a life to live here and some of (a lot, actually) you "Christians" are living abhorrent lives.
I just want to know, can I get a hammock?
I'd really prefer to roast on a hammock.

not give into Jesus, be saved by Jesus or die and suffer eternal pain and agony. as simple as that. it is free to become a Christian. you see Jesus died. He died for you and me. but He rose again three days after he died, proving that he conquered death. just ask Him to forgive you and he will live in your heart. trust me, you won't regret it.

I would put it this way.
If you choose to follow Christ you will be permitted to spend eternity with God.
If you do not choose to follow Christ, you won’t have to be bothered with an eternity with God or Heaven. You will be removed from his sight forever.
So we all get what we want, right?

Yes. God is trying to build something in this world to take to the next. If you don't want to be part of it--to hell with you. (There is some debate about a literal hell, but no debate about God's demands for loyalty.)
