I wanna buy my crush a gift for Christmas.We consider ourselfs friends but we don't hang out or even talk on the phone. I don't want him to feel uncomfortable or bad that he didn't buy me anything, I don't want a gift.

It would still be all right to buy him a gift. Just tell him the gift is for being such a wonderful friend. You don't need to tell him anything further.
