Is this your first christmas with him? You can always ask his friends (or his family) for some ideas.
It's also a good idea to add a little personal touch to everything; like if you are buying a photo frame, you can put your photo or a photo of two of you together. Speaking of personal touch, you can bake/cook for him. Men always appreciate that, and it's the thought that counts.
How about a nice get-away trip for two of you?

Hi ive been in your shoes before & some men are hard to buy for because they sometimes give you ideas & sometimes they dont here are a few suggestions, cologne, maybe a nice sweater or a nice pair of jeans, maybe a stereo for his car,gift cards, electic razors are nice gifts for men also, maybe cds,dvds, a necklace, a gift certificate to his favorite restraunt or favorite place to shop. Buy some romantic movies on dvd, have a candle lit dinner, and woo eachother about how much you love eachother.
There are plenty romantic things to do. Dance to slow romantic music. Bake cookies, and eat them under the mistle toe.
Play little cute games, like truth or dare, hot spot, lol(old school)
Be creative!
