1. Right click on desktop.
2. chose new then shortcut.
3. a window will appear.
4. click Browse.
5. chose the file you want.

do i right click on the task bar and go to properties, and select the check box which says show quick launch and that will bring the desktop shortcut over there.

You need to grab the icon and drag it into the taskbar.

There should be one in Quick Launch already.
Richt click the taskbar>toolbars>quick launch.
copy it to wherever you want.

I had the same problem, but it is easy to fix. Simply go to the Microsoft site below:

you would be able to desire to ideal click on the job bar and enable the gadget bar, then you definately can drag short cut back icons to the job bar, sorry, dont have xp in front of me to tell you which ones to opt for yet it incredibly is the place you do it.

just right click on the program and then you will see add to desktop and click on it and will go to desktop
