When I was 20, looks were everything. Now I'm an old fart of 42 and personality is the big turn on now...looks still matter...but not as much. A nice personalty seems to last longer than beauty. It's true what they say "beauty is only skin deep"

Looks are important as part of the attraction process, but it's the personality that decides if they last longer than 5 minutes.

Their Personality is the most important. I know people who used to be Hot, hot, hotties and well, they are not so hot anymore. Personalities usually stay pretty similar throughout the years. Some times they change some. But that is the core of who a person is and that is the most important. Looks are a plus, that is just the icing on the cake.

I am more attracted to someone's personality, seriously. Everyone I know calls me pretty, its so overused now to me. I've come to realize that while beauty fades, personality never does. So although it has changed, I now am completely attracted to someones personality before I am their looks.

Looks for initial attraction, personality to keep my interest.
I have been friends with a few girls that I was not initially attracted too, but after I got to know them and their personality, I thought they were beautiful (appearance wise).

Truthfully ... I wasn't even attracted to my current boyfriend when I saw him for the first time ... he wasn't at his best he was about 40 lbs. heavier, he had a girlfriend, & they were always fighting ... !
The more & more I started hanging out with him the more & more I found myself attracted to him ... after they broke up we became really close friends - then friends with benefits - until he finally asked me " when can I start calling you my girlfriend " ... I'd have to say it really was his personality that swooped me out from under my feet ... !
He's the man of my dreams ... even though I didn't think so ... lol ... !

I am more attracted to people for what they are not what they look like. If you only choose your friends by their looks you are proably missing out on knowing some of the best people you will ever know.
