I was just like u and i got taken advantage of. I had to learn to say no which everyone basically said. Sometime's it's hard to say it to your friends, but remember they r taking advantage of u =)

Honestly, I've battled this also, and the resolution I came to was to just act natural, even if it is too nice. Trying to be slightly mean will come across as unnatural and awkward for you, and people will detect that. It's not a flattering discovery for them to make either. Just be who you are.

Unfortunately, Nice people tend to get taken advantage of.
One of the hardest things for me personally to learn in Life was to know when to say No. You will be much better off If you do this.......
So it's not a matter of being a little mean, just learn to say no.......

You really don't want to be 'mean', you want to become assertive. No means no. If someone else may get slightly hurt, that happens sometimes. But don't hurt them on purpose. Take some assertive training and self-confidence classes, or join the military. That will help in those areas.

with a healthy dose of self protective sarcasm.
Don't be mean just for the sake of it,be mean to people who are a**es that deserve it.There are a lot of nice people just like you who don't need the misery.

try to be nice but firm(if ur a mom) but if its a ppl issue like with everyone than try to say no more often.In time it should get easier.
