My baby girl had reflux when she was an infant. She spit up sooo many times each day. She was put on medicine. It got better around 8 months adn we took her off the meds. Now she is onto solid foods ans soy milk and she throws up every day a couple times a day. She throws up in the car on every other car trip...even to the grocery store. She throws up at nighttime, and then wont sleep because she is hungry, but anything I give her to drink at night just bounces. She vomits half her meals or so. It is such a mess, and she must be so miserable. HELP! What can I do? If it is reflux, why is it back and will she have to be on medicine forever?

yes you do need to take her back to her Dr.
She will grow out of it when she is older.
Make sure you do not feed her to late at night if she is vomiting she may choke on it. be very careful about this. I brother had a child that did this and he could puke across a room with so much force. My boy also did it and they tried every test on him and never really found a cause for it. I did however have his tonsils removed when he was 5 and he quite choking and puking. does your baby girl have asthma also? Or ear infections on a regular basics. This could mean that she is allergic to something she is getting. Hang in there Mama time goes by so quickly before you know it she'll have left this behind her.

Put her back on the meds.

The constant vomiting is very bad for her absorbtion

of nutrients from food. She must be made to hold the

food down longer.I would also have her checked

for LACK OF INTRINSIC FACTOR,which is found in

the

digestive tract that is responsible for absorbing iron.

My daughter was on meds all her life, she 34 now. Now she just had twins. One is on reflux, tosses everyhting up. What now, for 34 years?

I was going to hang up but, look for a different doc, there has to be someone out there that know what to do. I told him I would put her on goats milk, I even bought on but, he changed it again. I gave up.

Sounds like she needs to be on her reflux meds. Also sounds like a food allergy. 12 months old IS NOT too early to be allergy tested.

Have your pediatrician referr you to an allergist. My friends baby girl was like this until I got her switched onto goat milk.
