Hi,
Cat C and Cat D are catorgories of damaged vehicles. Insurance companies write off vehicles and they are given a specific catorgory dependant upon the extent of the damage.
If you are looking to find out about car insurance groups, unfortunately, it is a minefield and each insurance company have their own criteria and grouping systems. Best to go through a broker to get them to do the dirty work for you.

Hope this helps!!

There are different durations in different countries
Cat A - The Car should be scrapped and no parts can be taken from it.

Cat B - The Car should be scrapped but certain parts can be taken from it.

Cat C&D - These are normally used for non economical repairs. I.E Not dangerous to drive but the insurance company doesn't want to shell out repairing them.

hi cat c and cat d refer to insurance write offs. cat d means damaged repairable, cat c is a little worse, nothing to do with age or insurance groups.
