The answer is yes, but rather no. If the hole is big enough you won't have to push hard at all. But if the hole is too small, you'll end up ruining the hole or the peg if you push too hard.

Abnormalities aside....sure you can...just depends on the effort, pressure and lubrication...won't be pretty and I am sure there will be some alley cat screaming going on!!!!!
My question to you is....WTF?????? Why would you want to damage the peg?
