It is so rude to answer a cellphone when you are having a conversation! One time i was talking to my friend in the car, she was driving, and then she got a call from her cellphone. The music was up, and she turned it all the way down. Then she shushed me and told me to keep it down. What do you think i should do about this?

The next time her phone rings when you're together and in an inappropriate place to handle a cell phone call, I would call her on your own cell phone. It would be hilarious to see her on her phone and say "Wait a sec, I have another call coming in," and then have you say "Hello, I've just noticed this is the only way we could have a conversation when we're together." I think she'll get the point. And if she doesn't, she's not just rude, but dumb as a brick as well.

You obviously need to talk to her about it because it is bothering you this much. The questions is "how" are you going to approach her?

Tell her in a good tone, that what she did bothered you, and tell her how it made you feel. Explain that if you are really friends you would like her to give you the attention that you give her. Just explain calmly how you feel.

If she is a good and true friend, she will understand the situation. Remember, do not approach her with a negative attitude or angrily.

This happened to me recently. My co-worker invited me to dinner (her treat) and right in the middle of our conversation her phone rang. It was some awful pop-punk ring tone. Anyway, as if that wasn't bad enough to have it ring loud as hell in a restaurant, she answered it. I didn't say anything, but I glared at her and wasn't very chatty after wards. I only accept the phone call during a conversation answer if it's an emergency.

Maybe you are just boring and the friend was glad that someone called. By the way, it is her car and she can do whatever she wants. Stop mooching rides!

I agree it's rude. I would have turned the music back up.
