they both will be wearing e collars, but i'm a little bit concerned about if they try to play with eachother 'n try to bite their ears while their going through the after care process... I don't know if any of you have experienced something like that before...they're both 3.5 months old..

You are in for a LOT of hassle with these ears. The pups will tear up each other's e-collars, and, as you haven't trained them to control their fighting, they will hurt each other's ears, constantly..The only solution is to keep them apart until the ears have healed, unless they are totally supervised..

You are going to have your hands full period. Because they are almost 4 months old and you don't have control over them. It would have been more prudent to get them training. You will still need to get them trained. I believe someone posted the question of what are you going to do if you get them cropped and they still play rough.. You should have spoken to the vet about it.. Any reputable vet will answer your questions. But I don't think a reputable vet would crop their ears at this age. How painful dogs have more nerve endings in their ears than people.

Ideal ear cropping age is 11 -13 weeks. Im surprised you found a vet who would do them at that age. Anyhow the ears will be taped and you will need to keep them taped so your vet should show you how to tape them so in the end they stand up, otherwise they will flop and you did it all for nothing.
We normally dont send them home with a cone unless truely needed, however if they are both in cones, you wont have to worry about them getting to each others ears, the cone will prevent that.

Are you SERIOUS?! You need to have YOUR ears cropped. There is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON to have cosmetic surgery such as ear cropping or tail docking. The dog does not benefit at all from the surgery. It is inhumane and cruel.

And doing it at older than HOURS after birth is even worse.

Why subject your pets to the pain of cropping their ears? It has no medical reason and just hurts them.

that's just not right. Most people get there pit's ears cropped cuz they plan to fight them & don't want to get torn up. So I assume to plan to fight your animals. and who is the vet that is going to do this at such an age? you shoould both be shot.

I'm sorry that you opted to mutilate your dogs instead of training them.

I'm sorry that you found a vet that will do this for you at this age.

I'm sorry for your dogs, because if this is how you respond to them play-fighting at 3.5 months, it doesn't bode very well for them as they grow up.

For now you should keep them apart, because they might hurt each other while playing ruff.

I LOVE DOGS! especially pits!

If you dont want to keep them apart, then just keep your eyes on them, but you will have to REALLY keep your eyes on em ^^
