I was thinking rather than having a baby and risking messing up my figure and also dealing with dipers and stuff, I can adopt a kid who is past that age. A little girl and then we can have fun playing dress up and teaching her how to be pretty and be a lady.

well you don't have kids so you can play dress up.. you are so not ready in any form.. adoptions are a good thing for sure but when you are truly ready you should have one of your own as well.. there is Nothing like it... nothing... maybe you could have one and then adopted one.but only when you are ready

I am in the process of adopting. Yes it is a good thing, but it is a lot of work getting through the classes, the home-study. Then there is a lot of emotional issues while you are waiting and sending your home study in to apply for kids. It is a very taxing process. If all you are worried about is messing up your figure, I wouldn't bother. There is a lot of work that goes into being a mom, it isn't all playing dress up and being pretty. No matter what the age, you will get dirty! I really don't think you are ready to have a kid or to adopt a kid, just from the way you are asking the question.

This is hard because i believe adoption is a great thing but i don't think it would be for you. I'm not trying to mean but becoming a parent requires so much patience, understanding, and dedication....most and formost you have to be willing to put yourself at the back of the line and you sound a little to selfish to commit yourself to a child.

adoption is a wonderful thing, but if the only reason you want to adopt a kid and not have one of your own is for your selfish reasons, then the adoption agency's are gonna put you at the bottom of their lists. when you have a kid, adopt or birth, they become your life, and your reason for living and doing everything you do each day. if you're not ready to devote your entire life to someone else, the kid, then you're not ready to have a child.

it shouldn't be about your figure but rather giving a home to a child and loving him and her. But raising a child isn't easy and it never will be. But you should seriously think about how much your lifestyle would change, if you were to adopt and if it's what you want. Also, if it's best for you and would it be best for the child you would adopt.

adopting is a good thing but if you dont want to go through all that "stuff" then maybe you should take time to think about this because skiping all that "stuff" is not all that fun then you dont get to hear there first word and its not like you cant loose all that weight afterward just think alot before you deside what you gona do.

that sounds like a great idea, why not??? besides there are plenty of kids that need to be adopted into loving homes where they are truly wanted.
