Men, why would you want to get a Prince Albert piercing on the head of your penis? Wouldn't that hurt like hell, impair the functioning of your penis (for both peeing and sex), prevent you from ever using a condom, be painful for your partner and put you at risk for infection (and possible AMPUTATION!)???

I'm sorry, I'm not a guy, but I read this question and..Yikes!

If I were a guy I'd get one in a heartbeat. I think it's one of the prettiest piercings (and this is coming from a girl who doesn't even like the c0ck). It's sexy and can be a nice little surprise. It's the Holy Grail of boys-only piercings. I wish I could get one.

It doesn't impair function at all, nor does it prevent the use of a condom. The jewelery is smooth - it doesn't have sharp edges to catch on a condom.

Any piercing, when not properly cared for, can put you at a risk for infection. Genital piercings are no more prone to infection than others, as long as they are kept clean. Urine is sterile - it's not like pee is going to make the piercing get infected while it's healing. I have never heard of someone having to have his hoo-ha amputated after getting a PA.

I know guys with them and have pierced them before. It takes some adjusting to, but you can still urinate (though after its pierced sitting down is highly suggested), have sex and you can certainly still wear a condom. The risk for infection is relatively rare when the piercing is done correctly and taken care of. Amputation is another RARE occurrence.

When done by a professional and skilled piercer and when the piercing is taken care of there should never be any problems.

I think you are HIGHLY misguided about the P.A. and should research things like this before getting on the soap box.

I second Zombie_Eater. One thing to add, however. Alot of times, when people have a genital piercing, it is not a fact that they give freely to anyone willing to listen. Most of these types of piercings are private little "secrets". So if someone is telling you about negative things that happened to them or someone that they know, then possibly they were not well informed before getting the piercing done. I have seen and done many very good P.A. piercings, but I have also seen many bad ones come to me seeing if I could fix another piercer's mistakes.
And true, I have never heard of an penile amputation as a direct result of having a P.A.

Well, a lot of girls answered so here is a guys perspective. I have had mine for ten years, it didn't hurt (much) when I got it done, I really enjoy it and have never had an infection or complication, my wife really likes it as well. I am larger than average so I wasn't trying to compensate for anything and I feel that sex is better with it in place.

I know guys with them and know they don't interfere with sex or peeing (actually makes sex better sometimes), doesn't hurt condoms if they are worn right and you will only get an infection if you don't take care of it and are unhygenic.

They get it so they can brag about it...

Or to make up for what they're lacking in size.

Either way, I don't want anything to do with a guy who has that done.

Yes, I have my hood pierced, but I rarely even wear the jewelry in it, and half the time, I forget I even got it done.
