There are many great colleges and universities. They are not always the big name schools or most recognized. You need to determine what your major is and what your education budget is. If you go out of state, you may have to pay much more than if you go in state. If money isn't so big a concern, narrow your choices to a particular area. Then decide if you actually want a great school or a good school with name recognition.

Depends on what you intend to study, how much money you intend to spend, how far away you want to go, and what kind of place you're looking for (public/private, urban/rural, etc.). I went to West Virginia University and absolutely loved it! I'm sure there are better academic institutions out there, but in terms of overall experience, you can't beat WVU (and it's relatively inexpensive also). I met my wife there too and I'm a much better man for it!

There are lots of great unviersities depending on your major, budget, geographic location and even religious views.
