It's not just the word tattoo. There are many people on this site that seem to not be able to spell much of anything. I used to literally have to take a minute and interpret what some of the questions were even trying to say. Now I just ignore questions that are barely legible. Eh. You'd think it would be easy, with spell check being included as an option right by your answer and all but noooo...

Most people aren't obsessed by spelling and grammar. In fact, why didn't you capitalize 'Why' and you should only use one question mark.
Actually, a better phrasing of the sentence would be:
"Why can't half the people on this site spell tattoo correctly?"

They are not able to spell tattoo because they are still taking the pain killers from getting that full back tattoo.
There eyes are still uncrossing from the pain.

its not something alot of people spend time to think about, how often does a average person need to spell tattoo? so they go by sound

you know maybe people got F-'s in spelling back in school. they probably dont know how to spell that got but you reslly should not critize people who are not spellimg things right just give them some time and maybe they will learn but then again maybe you should get them one of those kiddy leapsters reading book for there bday!!
