No it is not too early. If you are going to ask someone out on a date always ask before Wednesday. Usually by Wednesday people already are starting to have their weekends planned. Right now is a great time, especially with all the great movies coming out here during the holiday season.

Doesn't hurt to ask...it being a double date may even prove to be a plus...since you've only been chatting with him for a month, a double date will put less pressure on the two of you, there will be others to talk to and laugh with...

Verity, I think it would be best at this time to have a one-on-one date before you plan a double-date.

No it not too early, it been 4 weeks, that plenty of time to ask him to go out. And if your nervous about it, then ask him like " my bestfriend is going out on a date, and i dont want to be the third wheel, would u go with me". If you are not afriad, then ask him, i am guessing he is waiting for you to ask him.

I would say go for it. tell him you are doing something, and you would love it if he joined you. Depending on how the date goes you can play it from there. what I mean by that is see how he reacts to you. If he is into you then you will both know weather to go on a second date, or you are both just want to keep it at a friend level.

No it is never to early...
What you should do is when you have moment together alone..It could be on the phone or in person...No e-mail...
And say me and my friend are going out would you like to come..it takes the pressure off..instead of asking him on a date which makes young men nervous...
Just be your self and say what ever is on your mind..no matter what..
Have fun..

The best time to ask someone out on a date is when they least expect it...so ask now, on a Monday afternoon...nobody expects that!!!

I think its never "too early" for a date. Just ask casually, dont make it sound too serious.
