Eating in moderation. Its no about going on a diet but changing your eating habits perminantly. You need to watch what you drink as much as you watch what you eat. When you cook a meal always do a large dish of veggis or salad to go on the side as you can eat as much of this and not worry, strifrys are good but sub any sauces with light soy sauce and use prawns also try different teas without milk or sugar, you will find the taste unbearable at first but you will get used to it. I use to have tea with milk and 2 sugars, but about 5 years ago i did a detox where i wasnt allowed milk or sugar, not i cant stand tea with milk or sugar, i can only have it black, if you cant do without sugar, try sweetners, also include lots of fibre in your diet, do not eat too late espeially carbs and always have breakfast....Try making home made vegi soups again, they are the easiest and quickest thing to make and so comforting during winter....quick recipe....1-2 leeks, 2 potatoes, 2 carrots, 1 onion, 1 cube vegi stock and worcester sauce...lots of pepper.....roughly chop all the vegs and put on large pan.....cover and sweat them for about 10 mins or until they start becoming a little soft.....add the stock with water, cover, leave to simmer for 10-15 mins then blend all ingredients together (you can use a hand blender so you dont need to move the ingredients from the pan) add pepper and couple splashes of worcester sauce,,can add little dried mixed herbs....thats it...

the only way to lose weight is with diet and excercise. but just eating less and doing some jumping jacks won't cut it.
people make dieting so complex these days when in reality it's simple. you just have to minimize 4 things: your saturated and trans fat intake, your carb intake, and your sugar intake.
obviously your saturated fat and trans fat intake must be minimized(trans fat intake should be elimintated as it's the hardest type to work off) since taking in fat makes it harder to get rid of it. and remember when you look at how much fat is in something if it has no sat. fat or trans fat. but has like 2g of total fat or so, that's ok.. that means it has monosaturated and polyunsaturated fats which are good for you and lower cholesterol
also reduce your carb intake since you have to burn carbs to burn fat.. however don't eliminate carbs since doing so will cause your body to store more fat.. still take in carbs that come from 100% whole grain products, but be careful not to take in to much, about 100g of "good" carbs a day is ok
and this one is the one that most either don't know about or forget about. the more sugar you take in.. the more inculin your body produces to counter act the sugar... the more inculin your body produces, the more fat your body stores... less sugar = less fat storage.
and just as important as eating right.. is excercising right.. you should make up an excersice plan with has you not only doing cardio but also doing weight training... not many people know that the more muslce you have.. the more fat your body burns on it's own... i suggest alternating between the treadmill, stationary bike, and stair steppers followed by free weights... you should do at least 20 minutes a day 5 days a week for cardio and work 2 muscle groups a day at a light to moderate intensity... also it wouldn't hurt to see a personal trainer at your local gym... oh and take in about 1500 calories a day.. haha almost forgot that one
hope that helps :)

Eat healthily and excerise. If you feel like eating chocolate you can eat it, but just eating it too much is what is bad for you!
