I doubt most people "hate" Christians, but most fundamentalists are sure annoying

mostly due to thier history of evils. Today they are good; however it wasn't always that way. The second reason is that hate brings hate. In other words; some people hate on Christians which makes some Christians hate on them. This causes an endless cycle. The last reason is "some" negative additudes aka holier then thou and that its' thier way or the highway additudes.

I agree. Many, many Christians are wonderful people. We see a lot of the fanatical fundamentalists on here. They have to "witness for God". Consequently, there is often lively conversation. There is dislike on both sides. I am guilty of it as well.
We should all remember that the fundis do not represent the majority of Christians.

As a Christian, myself I can see where the hatred comes from. Some Christians won't stop preaching & calling homosexuality a sin. I am getting turned off by all the Bible quotes & burning in hell talk. Everyone can believe what they want but it's not ok to jam your beliefs down another persons throat

I don't really think Christian are judgmental. I believe they believe they found the way of salvation and want to share it with everyone. Some time, though, they may come across a little strong. If you had some good, important news, you'd want to share it too.
I'm glad you've had good experiences with Christians. Renews my faith in my people.

I think because some christians preach that you are not going to heaven unless through Jesus or you are a christian,and that is wrong,but i love all folks.Some of my best friends are christians also.I think all faiths think they are the true faith so we must have love and tolerance for all of them

Because a lot of them are self-righteous, arrogant, nasty bigots that will tell you in the same breath that God loves you but if you don't accept Jesus in your life you will go to hell. There are good Christians and bad Christians, just as there are good and bad people. That, and Christianity IS based on a distortion of history - that might have something to do with it.

The reson beign is that people find that christians techniclly run the us which they dont and have so many lawn against eerything like, they condemn those who are colored skin, homosexuals,criminals, heathen or other religion, and possibly thinking different. but thats personal view if you like them i will not hate you i have christian gay friends but they dont preach.
