I am so lazy it's not even funny. My room is sooo junky and I want to clean it up but everytime I start cleaning up I tell myself that I will do it later and it doesn't get done till a month later. It has gotten so bad that I would rather wait until 11:00 at night to do my H.W. becuase I'd rather talk on the phone or watch T.V. I hate being this way but every time I try to do better it seems like I fail. It gets worse: I've lost about 6 pounds because I'm too lazy to get up and fix me something to eat, so i just starve myself and eat little snacks. it has really gotten out of hand. I know people get lazy at some point but this seems really bad. Any ways I can tackle this laziness?

Write down some very small goals that you want meet for today; write them down with a check-off box beside each goal. You will be surprised at how good you feel when you get to check off a box because you met that one little goal! Make a list like this every day and soon you will find yourself accomplishing more and bigger goals.

You are the only person in this world who can tell how to stop it. Even if we give you suggestions on how to stop being lazy (to the extreme), if you don't put it in to action, nothing will happen.

Anyway, here is my suggestion: When you must do something, do it immediately. Make a schedule for an entire week/month. Even toothbrushing should have a certain amount of time given. When you need to call someone and you have other tasks do, limit yourself to use the phone for 'bout 3-5 minutes. Follow the schedule strictly!

It takes a month for something to become a habit. Follow that schedule of yours ok!

well, at least you recognize it. the best thing to get you disciplined at this point would be to prepare some sort of daily planner for yourself. get yourself a little pocketbook sized planner, or put something up in your bedroom. tell whoever you live with to get you on schedule too.

once you develop a routine that you're comfortable with, it'll be easy to stick with it.

you don't have to do everything at once.

set something like (just an example)
3:30 watch TV
4:00 do some homework
4:30 give yourself some internet time
5:00 do some homework
5:30 clean a little of your room
6:00 watch TV
6:30 talk on the phone
7:00 have dinner (get yourself on a normal routine and make sure you eat!!)

etc. etc.

give yourself enough time for everything you want to do, but don't make yourself do one thing for hours, because you'll probably lose interest and put it off. keep yourself busy and moving. some caffeine won't hurt either.

sometimes it not that you are lazy you just have a chemical imbalance. check your doctor. if you want to get over your laziness with out help just try doing everything you want to do most and have never found the time to do and keep yourself busy you know like get involved in a group or go to the gym just make sure you dont go home before you go to these places

Motivate yourself... like turn on the radio and just do it.. then say when I am done I will go buy myself something or lay out till tomorrow! Also, don't eat too much sugar, after the high is burned all that it will do is make you slow and tired! Come on, everyday is a gift and we owe it to ourselves to be productive, positive individuals.. GET UP!!!! LETS GO TIME TO START YOUR DAY!!!

if you know what type of work you want to do in the future, read the biography of a person in that field. you'll see that they couldn't get where they are by slacking. that may motivate you. try & do a little each day so that you can go to sleep with some sense of accomplishment. it sucks to look back & see how you've been wasting yourself.

I dont know but I think this is not laziness rather it looks more like some kind of defeciency or maybe psychological problem.Go to a doctor and if you cannot go by yourself ask ur friend or anyone around to go with you.May God bless us all.

i think that you should try something new and to the extreme for example try to listen to music while you are cleaning up if that don't work think that you are about to win a prize of some sort of money and be like that you can'y get it until you clean your room and when it comes to your homework try to think like well you need to get it done because your grades are so low and you need to get a good well articulated grade so do what you need to do
