Well, if you're talking about what most people thinking of it, then... no. Generally, homeschoolers are stereotyped as people who have no lives, who don't have experience in anything and who do homework all day. Or just people who don't really do anything.
But well, if it works for you then great! I mean, I've never been homeschooled so I honestly don't know what it's like... I do have some friends who used to be homeschooled though, and they used to be pretty sheltered and a little weird, but school has made them more used to everything... I dunno, I'm glad I wasn't homeschooled and I'd never homeschool my kids (when I have them) cause I think the social stuff is important.... but if it works better for you then, go for it...

Yeah being homeschooled is cool!!! I'm homeschooled and I get to see my friends everyday!!! I have social interactions with all aged ppl just cause i'm home all day!!! I don't have to worry 'bout teachers, bullies, or the drama. Plus, I can sleep in and be done with my school day in half the time. Public school is a waist of time because you have to sit and hear the teacher lecture you. When you are homeschooled you get hands on learning. You can't get bothered by annoying ppl either--other than your parents--lol.

This is a particularly unstable question with me. I have been home schooled in for 4 years sporadically and put into public school for 7 years, and have been enrolled in community college for 3 semesters. The community college is offered to high school students who do well academically. Now is homeschooling cool?
Things I adore about homeschooling
Well I like the fact i one get to devote more time to my college education which yes I absolutely love, I GET TO SLEEP IN, the fact it is 4:00 in the morning on a Monday well Tuesday and i am still up, I incredible ahead I will graduate highschool a year early and have two years of high school done , I will have a better future than if i went to public school, I get to eat good food for lunch, I get to go on vacations pretty much whenever,I get tons of free stuff, I get to go to the gym whenever i wish, Get your priorities straight, I get to see the world in a new and refreshing perspective(this is probably due to being pulled in and out of homeschooling and public school though.)
Things that piss me off about homeschooling
My homeschooling work is monkey work and it is a great accreddited magnet school (this varies because before i was extremely challenged with my homeschooling work) , I incredible ahead, my counseler is an idiot, When you are home schooled you develop this awkward social tendencies even if homeschoolers deny this often, but it is true they just don't realize they obtained this qualities, You either experience too much childhood or in my case don't experience a childhood in the sense i was expected to be a mature young adult by 5th grade , I get more time for my passion and interest, Have either extreme Chasity or promiscuity, Talk to yourself frighteningly often, and due to lack of human contact you become slightly emotionally unstable(this is very subjectve though).
(slightly sloppy, but it is 4 in the morning and i am tired)

YES! So many people get the wrong idea about homeschooling. My friend does it and she's fine! She is actually more outgoing than she was in public school. She loves it because she can do her HW in her PJs and make her own schedule in order to catch up on sleep. She says she likes so I guess it's cool. =) Just because your in HSing doesn't mean you won't have any friends! =D

It's totally Cool! :)
I used to be homeschooled. I think it's better if you have siblings who are also homeschooled.

That would depend on your perspective and how the homeschooling is done.
And ignore the people who say things like homeschooled kids don't get to socialize--it's totally incorrect!

I think that homeschooling is robbing a child of social activities and school is actually fun to some extent! They are missing out on this! and friends...
