I have been a Muslim for only 3 years and there is still a lot to learn :). And Elmjunburke- women are not treated worse than cattle! My Muslim husband treats me like a princess and every other Muslim born woman I know has been treated as such since the time her little eyes first opened- by her father, her brothers, her extended family and then her husband and after that if she has sons, they will love her all of her life and take care of her until she dies. Not put her in an old folks home and leave her to her solitary days until she passes!

I know enough to know that I don't know enough.

Islam is like any other religion. We all have our own denominations that battle and fight over the manner of how things are interpreted. We all have our extremists who do not respect others or the viewpoints of others; and in so doing often disrespect the very canon to which they claim their allegiance.

I know that they started back in the six hundreds, and are still there mentally. They are great at blowing up women and kids in the markets. They're really good at treating women worse than cattle.
