Unfortunately, the people who fled England for religious "freedom" were looking for a place to establish their own theocracy. England wouldn't let them practice their extreme form of "Christianity". Despite the prohibitions against state-sanctioned religions, it has been a dream that has not died among some American believers.

When I look at your question ask/answer history and see the things you have wrote against Christians, I realize this one thing. Your question is not worth answering because your hate messages only serves to bash and undermind Christians. I will not argue with you because you do not receive answers, you only display hate. But I will pray for God's mercy on you whether you like it or not. PEACE!!!

Trust me, I feel your frustration. It is wrong for them to force their "values" down the throats of everyone else.
Just keep in mind that not all Christians want an American theocracy--it's a small, but very vocal, wealthy, and powerful group that is trying to do this.

Sadly as someone else said, we were founded by Puritans, and those morals still hold true in our society. That's why we show more violence on TV and film than sex. After all, when the pilgrims came to America they had to hunt and kill to survive, but sex! My goodness, that was strictly taboo!!
But I agree with you completely. While I know that fundamentalist Christians are a relatively small minority, they are very vocal, very irritating, and very hostile.
Bright blessings!

Perhaps you should move to a Muslim country where you would feel more comfortable. I hear Iran is nice; a new law was enacted: Those who do not pray five times a day shall be beheaded.
Good luck, and good riddance!

Rant and rave... I appreciate your concern about freedom in America, we all would like to see Christ come in his kingdom here on earth as He is in heaven right now. Then we wouldn't have to worry about inequities, He would judge the living and the dead. May that day come soon and give you peace.

I'm not going to argue with you. If you want to go to Hell, then go. It's no skin off MY nose. However, if you change your mind, and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord, I will rejoice for you when I find out. In the mean time, have a Merry Christmas.

We believe in a persons individual freedom to worship how they please. We believe the state should never run the church and the church should never run the state.
