No. I don't think God is for anyone really. We would all be better without it. That's like asking if it's a good thing we have prozac. It would be better if people didn't need it.

The United States is only a few hundred years old. It doesn't deserve to be called an empire. It's nowhere near the Roman Empire, for example, which lasted thousands of years.

I can almost hear you say it.

I did not vote for that jerk off. Not all of us are the fanatical fundamentalists Christian type.

The last election in November put the religious right in their place. We voted democratic and now we control the senate. With all the dissatisfaction with Bush getting us into a war using lies and deceit, it is unlikely that a conservative Christian republican will ever be elected again. Now what we have to hope for is the democrats come up with a good candidate. That remains to be seen.

There are 300 million of us Yanks, and in case you didn't know our 2006 elections just fired a lot of the idiots that you so justly are poking fun at. There's hope for us yet, because we don't keep the same government around if we don't like it anymore, and judging by the 2006 elections, we don't like it anymore! (I never liked it in the first place!)

Yes true. I like the Americans but i just wish they would advance more as far as this religion stuff is concerned. Its like how we were 100 years ago when Queen Victoria was on the throne but we've moved on alot since then.

Actually, "alternative" religions are becoming very popular over here. Wicca, for one, is on the rise - thank Goddess - and not just among high-school kids, but among sensible, intelligent adults like myself.
