I made my son lighting Mcqueen for his birthday. Wal-mart, Michaels and AC Moore sells character cake pans you use a box of cake mix. Then follow the directions on the package to color the icing a pipe on the details.
Good luck

My mother always made cut up cakes for us while growing up; from trains and animals to drag strips and lunar landings.
First she would start out with a 9 x 16 chocolate cake.
use a tooth pick to lay out the pieces you would need to do the final project and cut the pieces out of the cake.
Use different color icing to make the tires, windows etc.....
paste the pieces together using white icing.
It'll only cost you the price of the cake mix and the effort.

Bake a cake, make a fake road on it with icing, use some christmas village trees, and buy some of the toys from the movie. The toys will make cute cake decorations and your son will also have new toys to play with.

if you go to a craft store or party store right now, i'm sure you can find a pan for this. Party stores are big on theme parties and tend to have this as well as other really fun and cute party goodies.
