I was just wondering. I saw my ex, it has been over 2 years since she dumped me. We just randomly bumped into each other at the gas station, I really didn't say much to her. It really hurt to see her after all this time. I have moved on and have a great woman in my life (we are getting married next year). However when I saw this ex, I just remembered all the pain she put me through. (She cheated on me and dumped me. I found out she cheated on me after, she is now married to him). It made me sad. I just want to know if this is natural. I have no desire to reconncect with this ex, and I love my fiance. Is it okay to feel the pain and remember when I crossed her path.

Of course it's ok to feel like that. It has nothing to do with your great situation now - it doesn't take away from what you now have. What you went through was a loss, no matter if it was a bad situation, no matter that you have something more hopeful now. A loss is a loss. And losses hurt.

Find a buddy you can talk to one more time about this, face to face. It will help you lesson the hurt.

Yes, absolutely.

I've been fortunate enough to not have gone through what you did but I still love my ex and always will. I'm happily engaged to a wonderful man but the ONLY reason why my ex and I never got married was because I refused to convert my religion. We still love each other immensely and consider each other best of friends but we both have moved on. Even though he's got a good woman who makes him happy, I will always be sad and wonder what could've been.

yes it is okay to feel this way because you have feelings that were hurt unlike her she is empty on feelings, and i felt your pain just by reading this because ive been there!!!! and it hurts like hell, so you are okay in the way you felt when you saw her... trust me, but what goes around always comes back around

Yes, it's the memories of what she did that upset you. This too will pass in time.
