Hosea 2:23
And I shall certainly sow her like seed for me in the earth, and I will show mercy to her who was not shown mercy, and I will say to those not my people: “You are my people”; and they, for their part, will say: “[You are] my God.”’”

Matthew 21:42, 43
Jesus said to them: “Did YOU never read in the Scriptures, ‘The stone that the builders rejected (PSALMS 118:22 and 1 Peter 2:7) is the one that has become the chief cornerstone. From Jehovah this has come to be, and it is marvelous in our eyes’? This is why I say to YOU, The kingdom of God will be taken from YOU and be given to a nation producing its fruits.

Now it is a spiritual nation, formed by people who make the things that pleases God and what he has commanded.

Acts 10:34, 35
At this Peter opened his mouth and said: “For a certainty I perceive that God is not partial, but in every nation the man that fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him."

Revelation 7:9, 10
After these things I saw, and, look! a great crowd, which no man was able to number, out of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes; and there were palm branches in their hands. And they keep on crying with a loud voice, saying: “Salvation [we owe] to our God, who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb.”

If anyone actually knew the answer to this, don't you think we would all move to whatever Nation it is? I really don't know that God plays 'favorites' in that way...I have personally never met God face to face to ask Him, and I don't know that the Bible says anything specific about what will be the Chosen land in the 21st Century. Certainly an intriguing question, to say the least.

It's always been Israel! However, Gentiles (peoples of other nations) can now be spiritually grafted into that fold.

Rom 11:11 So I ask, did they stumble in order that they might fall? By no means! Rather through their trespass salvation has come to the Gentiles, so as to make Israel jealous.
Rom 11:12 Now if their trespass means riches for the world, and if their failure means riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their full inclusion mean!
Rom 11:13 Now I am speaking to you Gentiles. Inasmuch then as I am an apostle to the Gentiles, I magnify my ministry
Rom 11:14 in order somehow to make my fellow Jews jealous, and thus save some of them.
Rom 11:15 For if their rejection means the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead?
Rom 11:16 If the dough offered as firstfruits is holy, so is the whole lump, and if the root is holy, so are the branches.
Rom 11:17 But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, although a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing root of the olive tree,
Rom 11:18 do not be arrogant toward the branches. If you are, remember it is not you who support the root, but the root that supports you.
Rom 11:19 Then you will say, "Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in."
Rom 11:20 That is true. They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand fast through faith. So do not become proud, but stand in awe.
Rom 11:21 For if God did not spare the natural branches, neither will he spare you.

Two of them at present,
Israel and spiritually the church.

Exodus 19:6 and you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.' These are the words that you shall speak to the sons of Israel."

1 Peter 2:9 But you are A CHOSEN RACE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR God's OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

The Nation of Isarel(the jews) are god's chosen people... not the political state if Isreal....Other than Israel God is not about man's invented borders.... There is the belief in Christian Faith that when Israel reclaims all of the land God promised to them that the end of this world will be near..... The relationship of God to those who come to Him is personal and not about nationality.

The Jews are God's chosen people. This has never -- nor will it ever -- change.

Deut. 7:6 "For you are a holy people to the LORD your God; the LORD your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth."

Peace.

p.s. --Fireball, you couldn't be more incorrect.

EDIT: gentiles are "grafted in" to the "cultivated olive tree," but we are not spiritual Israel OR spiritual Jews.

God has no word called 'Nation' in its vocabulary. It has only mankind. Give him more option to choose.
