He's not kidding. Make him a nice dinner and tell him how you feel.... Good luck.

Well, the next time he says "why not me" you say "okay" seriously without smiling or laughing and pay attention to his reaction. This will probably cause a more serious conversation and just be honest with him. And just a tip: Even if it does seem like he's joking, he's probably not. A lot of guys will say it jokingly so they don't get hurt as bad if you don't feel the same. 90% of things said in a joking manor is the truth...

Sounds like he likes you too. Next time he says 'Why not me" say "Don't say that unless you mean it." That should at least lead to a conversation and you guys can talk about your relationship and where it might lead. My boyfriend and I started out as friends and we have a great relationship. But.....I would be so devastated if something were to happen and we broke up because I would be losing a great friend as well as my boyfriend, so make sure you are willing to risk that before moving forward. Good Luck.

If he is like me, he wary of being hurt and careful with his heart and true feelings. He wants to at least be sure who he is texting to before proposing marriage or anything like that.
You could be a machine, these questions could be randomly generated, by a machine or a group of people for entertainment value.
You could a be a 5 year old or an 80 year old man.

Well you can date him, or just stay friends. If you think it will work out, go for it, but realize that if it doesn't work out the friendship might be sunk as well. If his friendship is more important to you then you'll have to put those feelings aside. Unfortunately there's no simple answer, and it's really up to you.

Why not go for it? my bf and I were friends for a year before we decided to date and now it's been 2 years since. But it's only if you're both comfortable with that. Sometimes it's best to start out as friends and then get into a relationship.

ooooooh he thinks ur cute. thats the first step of him noticing u. if he's joking about being the right guy then its' probably a cover up. he prbly doesn't want to come right out and say that he like you. next time he says "why not me" say are u for real? then say maybe i should try you out. say it jokingly to see his reaction then on a serious note say ur right y not u know me and i know u so what's there to lose

I don't think he would say those words if he did not feel something for you. Only you know if he is being sincere. If you really aren't sure then ask him. It doesn't ever hurt to find out what someone thinks. Communication is very important. Don't assume anything. When in doubt, ASK.

chances are he's not joking. that's his way of playfully bringing it up. He's feeling you out to see how you'll react. Just spill your guts to eachother--it'll be the best thing you ever did. It's so fun when you can finally talk about all your feelings and how long you've wanted to be together, etc. This happened to me once, and it was the best decision I ever made!!

Do you like him so much youd be willing to ruin a friendship? If you go out with this guy and then break up then you could possibly lose his friendship. However, if you do not take a chance with this guy someother girl might.
