Matthew 5:1-11.
They are several sayings of Jesus regarding blessedness (beatitudes comes from a word meaning "to see God.") In Matthew, Jesus uses the beatitudes to begin the Sermon on the Mount.
The eight beatitudes are:
* Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
* Blessed are the meek: for they shall posses the land.
* Blessed are they who mourn: for they shall be comforted.
* Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after justice: for they shall have their fill.
* Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
* Blessed are the clean of heart: for they shall see God.
* Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
* Blessed are they that suffer persecution for justice' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
There is a slightly different version of the beatitudes in Luke 6: 20-26, but the formulation in Matthew 5 is the one that is usually meant by the term beatitudes.

The Beatitudes are a portion of Jesus' Sermon on the Mount. You can find them in Matthew 5:3-11. Each line begins "Blessed are..." (Beatitudes are blessings, sort of.) They seem unlikely, (like "Blessed are those who mourn") followed by an explanation (for they will be comforted).

The Beatitudes are found in Matthew chapter 5 from the Sermon on the Mount. "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of God. Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the land..." and so forth.
God bless,

The "Blessed are" statements by Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount.
"Blessed are the poor in spirit, blessed are the meek, blessed are the peacemakers..." etc.
