The brain only registers what you feel.. the nerves pick up the pain. Headache is normally associated with dilation of blood vessels but also is frequently involving dilation of the pupils also. Making the sensitivity to lights somewhat evident. When talking about these actions, we are involving the autonomic nervous system. Meaning one or more of the cranial nerves being effected. You will normally find tenderness at the base of the skull, on one side.. Pressure there may illicit the pain of the headache. Indicating some degree of a chronic condition in the neck. You may find symptomatic relief by visiting your local doctor of Chiropractic. Gained by treating the cause rather than the symptom.
