And what should it include(this is part of my quest to get our cats into shape)
Prefered dimentions would be 4lx2wx8t to go into my closet(without doors)
I could be I guess also 2x2x8 to go in corner of my room
I would like I to include a litter box at the bottom
Considering this will come out of my allowence and birthday money it cant cost too much I think the highest I can go is $150(wow im gonna b saving for a long time to do this)

We are a family of multible cats (7). I know that to many but they are all strays that would most likely starved to death if we hadnt brought them in, nursed them back to health, and let them be cats. Therefore we have some that are overweight. We have purchased very expensive toys and devices to help keep them active. None of which worked as well as the box they came in. We discovered medium piece of paper crumpled up and tossed into the air, and lands on the floor, makes a wonderful toy for them. The secret is having enough room for your pet to run, chase, etc. a couple of cheap noise toys, like balls with bells inside, I promise it wont break the bank. And your kittie will spend hours chasing that thing around, and doing its best to keep you up at night. I guess Im trying to say, you dont have to spend much money to make your speceil pet happy and healthy. Anything that moves will keep him/her moving. Good luck.

Cats will probably not use anything that you spend money on unless it has feathers or lets them climb up really high. try giving them
-straws (try blowing through it at them),
-toilet paper rolls,
-crumpled paper,
-yarn (wrap it around your hand a bunch of times, then wrap one end tightly and cut the other; you can attach it to a string and play with them yourself or hang it from the ceiling),
-small round wooden closet handles or other small odd shaped wooden objects,
-boxes with holes cut in (you can custom make their own playhouse by duck taping it together to make different floors and rooms),
-long sheets of packing paper all crumpled up (they will hide and chase each other),
-just about anything else that you would normally consider trash, but avoid thin plastic like bags that they could choke on and other bite size items
-also put small water dishes in each room, cats rarely drink enough water unless you make it easy for them. the water will give them better hydration for all that extra play and will also fill their stomachs more too, so they eat less.
In addition, anything you can attach to a piece yarn, like weighted feathers or the yarn toy I mentioned above, then attach the other end to a stick and play with your cats (if you do that they will bond more with you and each other)
Not only will your kitties get more excercise but you will also while you constantly pick these things up, or just do what I do and try not to step on them in the dark ;)

You already have your measurements I would go to the store get some ideas on how other cat playgrounds are set up and I would go off of maybe 2 or 3 of them and just put your add ons onto it

i throw a blanket over my bed, toss his toys at him tell hm the area is his, and walk away. he loves it. make a climbing tree by finding a railing, veritcal or horizontal, wind rope around it--let kitty know that is his--if there is a little altitude to the post, he will hae a ball jumping up onto it and holding on--they love to climb.
have fun
i have never had a cat that liked anything i ever spent money on--keep iot simple and cheap and out in the open. kitties are very social and love watching things from up high

mine have created their own in the basement on the shelves and things. The problem is they break things and theyfind a shelf and sleep all day, just because it is there doesn't mean they will use it to the full advantage. I have also put the food on the stairs, so they have to climb the stairs, but itis not omfortable to stay there all the time. good luck and let me know what you find out

They like Large tubes with carpet on them. Also a 4X4 covered in rug.
Check out to the pet shops to see if they will have a sale on these playgrounds
Check ebay to see if you can get one cheaper
