The only impression God wants to make is that we should all follow his teachings. He certainly doesn't have to try to prove who He is. The fact is, if you are a christian, or believe that we came here due to a higher power, you're already impressed with what God can do and who He is.

God doesn't need to impress any one. The question is: Who are you trying to impress.

God is impressive enough that He doesn't need to try.

An infinite God does not impress, and knows nothing of this "trying" thing either.

He tries to impress Satan.

After all, the book of Job describes how God is going about on his normal business when he bumps into Satan.

And without provocation, God tells Satan that Job is such a great follower. It's like your co-worker pulling out his child's photos, even though you didn't ask him to.

Satan does know how to play God, though. He dares God to let Satan mess with Job. And God gives in! God so desperately wants to impress Satan that he allows immense pain to befall Job.

Personally, I think God should do us some credit and try to impress us instead of Satan, but apparently Satan ranks higher in God's book. We've been dissed.

I clearly don't understand why you asked that question. Besides, why goes God need to impress anyone?

This question is pathetic!

It's a good question. Apparently, there are others who are willing to judge him, at least according to the Old Testament book of Ezekial, where God did not want to bring "dishonor to his name."
