Want a good, natural appetite suppressant that is actually good for you? There is one: OLIVE OIL. One tablespoonful three times a day will not only help curb your appetite, it'll give your body a healthy dose of monounsaturated fat -- which your body needs to metabolize certain vitamins and also helps keep your cholesterol levels in check. Be sure to take your tablespoonful before meals.
Here are a few other tips:
(1) Eat breakfast every day within 90 minutes of waking -- people who don't are 450% more likely to be overweight
(2) Instead of eating three big meals every day, eat six small meals or snacks every day -- eating less but more often helps keep your metabolism running high
(3) Use common sense -- avoid fast food, junk food, soft drinks, saturated fat, and stuff with processed flour/sugar as much as possible. Instead, go for fresh fruits and vegetables, lean meats, lowfat dairy products, and whole grain breads/cereals/pasta.
(4) If you like to snack on chips and pretzels, replace them with your favorite nuts. Yes, they're high in fat, but they're high in monounsaturated fat -- which as already discussed is a "good" fat. Almonds are best, but any nuts will do nicely.
(5) Don't completely deprive yourself. If you like chocolate, you can have some every day as long as you're not eating a whole bunch of it -- Hershey minis and Hershey kisses are very good for getting a little chocolate when you want it. Also, give yourself at least one meal every week where you can eat whatever you want (you can give yourself a whole day to eat whatever you want, but don't stuff yourself silly).
Good luck!

Emergency appetite control food #1 Fresh drinking water. That's right: water is a powerful appetite suppressant and if you drink an 8-ounce glass of water when you first start feeling hungry, you will find that it suppresses your appetite in nearly every case. If you just drink a full glass of water and have the discipline to wait 10 minutes, you will find that your appetite is either completely gone or dramatically reduced.
Emergency appetite control food #2 The next best strategy is to turn to green vegetables such as lettuce, cabbage, bokchoy, and other leafy vegetables. It takes just as many calories for your body to digest them as you get out of the foods themselves. And yet at the same time, they fill your stomach and make you feel full, turning off the hunger signals in your brain.
Emergency appetite control food #3 Add a quart of soy milk to the blender, then a couple of scoops of unsweetened banana-flavored simply natural spirutein soy protein powder.
Emergency appetite control food #4 The next food is pickles. That's right, pickles. But I am not talking about the pickles you find at a regular grocery store. Nearly all pickles you find in grocery stores contain artificial food coloring. They have a yellowish tint to them that has been added through the use of chemical colors. This is not a natural ingredient and so it is something you want to avoid purchasing. Instead, you want to buy completely natural pickles like the ones you get at Trader Joe's that are made without artificial colors or flavors and that have an extremely low calorie count as well. An entire jar of pickles may give you only 50 calories or so and yet they can be quite satisfying and take up a considerable amount of space in your stomach, thereby turning off your appetite cravings.
Emergency appetite control food #5 Here's an easy one: apples. Yep, apples. Eat the largest apple you can find. Sure, you'll get some calories and some carbs, but the apple will fill you up for quite a while, and that will stop you from eating far more calorie-dense foods.
Let me explain why this is such an effective strategy. If you're crazy hungry, it's very easy to reach for some processed foods (bag of chips, for example) and start munching away until you've consumed 1000 calories or more. And that's about half the total calories you need for the entire day!

Keep counting your calories, but it sounds like you need to add some more protein to your diet. Make sure you get some form of protein at every meal and you'll find yourself less hungry.
Also, include vegetables in your diet. They've got lots of fiber and are great for you!
Also, are you drinking water? It's natures best appetite suppressant! Multiply your body weight by .55 and that should give you the amount of ounces you should be drinking a day.

exercise is the only solution for a healthy weight loss known so far. but i wudnt say you are on the right track coz i wud b wrong to say so if you are not following a healthy balanced diet (4 times meal a day) even though you do exercise. don drain out your body with exercise and poor diet.
If you are on a balanced healthy diet along supported by exercise, i find no reason in you not losing weight. i say you shud b losing...if not considerably but at least some outputs. If you stop to lose weight after losing some, then it's quite normal. in the end i wud say....never ever make the mistake of goin on dieting! it wil kill you in the end for the side effects are so devastating.

Why don't you talk to the staff where you work out and ask them to help you resolve the problem that you are having. If the staff is as well trained as they should be; then they should be able to help you.You can also make an appointment with a nutritious to see what would be the way for you to go..Also just a suggestion make a journal of your daily eating habits maybe this will help you also.Remember to write everything that you eat and drink for that day..Good Luck and best of health to you

No what is probably happening is that you are turning fat into muscle and there for your weight want change for a while. Don't go to weight watchers they don't work for every body. Just eat healthy. Carbs like pasta can fill you up for longer and release energy rather than using it up straight away. Breakfast like a king lunch like a queen and dinner like a jester. That is a sure way to lose weight.

Jenna,
How are your clothes fitting? You work out every other day, so you may be gaining muscle. If this is the case, your weight will remain the same even though you are getting smaller.
As for foods, eat LOTS of vegetables. You can pretty much eat as much as you want, without the butters, dressings and sauces.

I know many people who have had success with weight watchers. but you HAVE to stick to the program 100% for it to work...so if you are committed to losing this weight, then I suggest it! You should always be looking at the labels of the food you eat...fat, calories, and sodium should all be very low. that would help alot!

Diet pill doesn't work, so you are totally right that you don't want to take it.
Do not eat white bread, sweets, french fries, of course fast food, do not drink soda. Eat more vegetables, nuts, fruit..And don't forget about exercises!
