In your case you can't. You let somebody else break you both up and now you have to live with that fact. He can't trust you anymore because of outside forces.

Just be honest and share your feelings with him, You'll be relieved to know the truth in how he feels about you and get over him if he doesn't like you anymore, and if he does then this time you should stay together. And keep peaceful people in your life.
