Stay away from gum and other sticky foods like caramel. Also avoid extra hard foods like carrots.

i use to eat everything except corn on the cob and apples, unless the apple was cut up and the corn was not on the cob. I also chewed gum even though a lot of people say not to but my teeth turned out fine nice and straight. just make sure to brush your teeth cause everything is going to get stuck in your braces not matter what kind of food it is.

Avoid: Anything sticky, like boiled sweets, chewing gum, etc. Before my dental career began, I ended up pulling a large chunk of brace off my teeth thanks to a nice sticky boiled sweet. It wasn't pleasant! If you have elastics on your brace, foods with strong colouring in, like curry, may cause the elastic to stain so avoid if you can. It's basically just being careful not to eat anything that could either pull it off, or get stuck!

I also recommend buying one of those single tufted toothbrushes for cleaning around your brace.

dont eat caramel, apples on the core are bad too...if it is sticky you probly dont want to eat it it will get stuck, no corn on the cob, chips can be a pain sometimes to the ones made with corn flour. Everything i shard to eat at first you just have to take things slow..you will figure it out! And dont chew gum untill your really ready! Good Luck

i'm getting braces quickly, myself. I concider no longer to have soda, yet in case you do have it, be certain to do not drink it too usually. Chips you are able to't eat, they'll spoil the wires of your braces and also you need to get new ones. Taking them off is a painful journey, so I reccomend you do not eat chips. sure, you are able to't eat meat on the bone because of the wires, it's going to spoil. indexed the following are a catalogue of belongings you are able to't eat with braces: demanding ingredients- something that's complicated can't be chewed with braces on. keep in concepts, braces are fragile, and strong forces from demanding ingredients will spoil them off. damaged abode equipment will boost clinical care time. prolonged clinical care time will boost the potential of cavities and stains on your the teeth. Sticky ingredients- Braces ought to nicely be pulled aside with sticky ingredients. lower back, this can boost your clinical care time. something intense in sugar- Braces make it harder to keep your the teeth sparkling. Sugar will feed the micro organism that reason cavities. in case you do eat any ingredients intense in sugar, brush your the teeth on the instantaneous. EXAMPLES OF WHAT to ward off Ice....truly NO!! It completely destroys braces. Nuts Peanut brittle demanding pizza crust Corn on the cob Ribs Doritos, corn chips, demanding tacos, cheetos, fritos etc Popcorn demanding pretzels demanding rolls and bagels raw carrots Bubble gum Carmel sweet purple meat jerky Suckers that's only a small list. keep in concepts, no longer something demanding, sticky, or sweet!
